My ancestor, Herman (Chaim) Baliner was born in Podolsk in August 1884.  He settled in Zinkov and married Raisa Tabak. We believe that he had several brothers. He immigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina before coming to New York in 1913.

His family followed in 1921 with Raisa's sister, Pauline (Devora). Pauline, being a minor, indicated that Chaim and Raisa were her parents.

I have not been able to document Herman's brothers, but believe that one settled in Buenos Aires and another in Philadelphia. There is some confusion about the last name. Some documents list it as "Berliner", while others say "Baliner".
