Herman Roth was born and
died in Hungary. He was a wealthy flour miller near Budapest where he married
Klara Schwartz. Most of their children stayed in Hungary and were successful;
one was a doctor. As far as is known, all perished in the Holocaust, except
Samuel, who was born in Nagyida as
"Solomon" and then came to the United States. Abraham Brown was born
in southern Hungary. He was a violin and cabinet maker, who married Johanna,
and lived in Nadzhmihali
(now Michalovce, Czechoslovakia). Several of their
sons came to the US. Abraham immigrated as well after his wife died. His
daughter, Julia nee Yetti, came with him and later
married Samuel Roth. |
